Most of the time my job is all about prettifying – a touch of blusher here and a slick of gloss there – but very often there are beauty emergencies to be dealt with. My canvas’s are the worlds top models and A-listers who, just like you and I, can be struck with allergies, irritations, puffiness and unwanted facial hair. They are depending on me to make things better and in this film I show just a few of the products I rely on to solve problems quickly.

The lip colour I am wearing is Clinique’s Chubby Stick in Pudgy Peony 15

I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

I think your lovely but I have to ask….Do you ever worry about someone suing you for using a waxing product or hair remove cream and then getting a allergic reaction? Last question do you have your clients sign a consent form stating if they have any allergies to any medications or and things of that nature just case something does happen? As a esthetician we always have to make sure of theses things because we can get sued if our clients get a allergic reaction to waxed or hair remover cream if we don't make sure we don't ask or if they don't sign a consent form. It could be a mess in law suits.

That's so nice of you to think about other people's stress. Their achy shoulders or stress has nothing to do with your job, but still you care about making them feel good, feel better. I'm so glad I found your channel, you're the best person I've ever seen online. Not just as a makeup guru/artist/youtuber, but you're a nice person as well. I'm glad I know of a person like you. In today's world when even doctors don't care about their patients, it's really amazingly nice to see a makeup artist caring about the mental and physical well being of the people they come in contact with (not just superficial wellness).

Another lifesaver that I swear by is crushed up Tylenol/ibuprofen with a few drops of Visine to form a paste, and I use that as a spot treatment for pimples or red spots. It is a lifesaver for calming an inflamed zit/pimple, and it's very soothing because of the anti-inflammatory properties. Preparation H is another must have for puffy eyes and swelling. Finally my last SOS trick is milk of magnesia as a facial primer to make everything incredibly smooth and keep grease at bay. These are all very old school solutions, but theyre tried, tested and truly work!!

Something you might love for your kit would be these wax strips by Sally Hensen. I keep them in mine and have used them for years. They're pre-made strips of wax, all you do is warm it up in yours hands and then place it on the skin and remove. Another great thing about them is they are on clear strips so they're perfect for eyebrows because you can place them over someone's brow and draw a shape on the strip and then cut them down to the perfect size. I've used them on many skin types and on myself, they work incredibly well on all different types of hair and areas. They are great in a pinch, and a box lasts forever because you ofte. Only need a 1/4 of a strip to do a brow or mustache. Try them out!

I have tried Avene Antirougeurs Jour redness, but no big improvements on my skin unfortunately. I have dry patches with redness, flaky skin , and due to the humidity here in Denmark was difficult to take care of it, the Rose Cream from Dr Haushka, INDEED is extremely rich, so then for someone like me (combo skin) can create even more oiliness and shine.I recommend for those struggling with this reactive type of skin, (from my experience) to try Atopiclair Lotion, from a brand called SINCLAIR, an emultion without steroids, excellent for atopic problems, actually is a symptomatic treatment in combination with a serum from Skinceutical , the one with 15 % vitamin C. Instead of Dr Haushka (which I personal;ly love, but not effective for my complexion), I highly recomend Ole Henriksen range for oily skin and a light weight gel cream from Blithe (check at Cult Beauty). I had instant results in 5 days, without exaggerating. It depends also on how you hydrate your body and what food you eat. All the best !

If you have sensitive skin, you should be aware that mineral oil and
other ingredients have been known to irritate the skin, so you should
watch carefully for any side effects that may occur.

Ardens Eight Hour Cream has a cult status.
I question that very much indeed. It may as well be a severe case of "EMPEROR NEW CLOTHING" effect. Meaning that people deliberately want to see something in a certain way.

In other words: much ado about nothing; against ones better judgement.

I add the list of (8 hour cream) ingredients below and leave it up to you to look them
    all up.
In any case you will become painfully aware that Arden does not take any
interest in the health nor in the well being of your skin or body.

Petrolatum 56.8% (PURE VASELINE!!), Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Fragrance, Salicylic Acid,
Propyparaben, Castor Oil, Corn Oil, Tocopherol, BHT (butylhydroxytoluol),
    Iron Oxides.

I woul never want to put THAT MUCK on my skin, never ever!

I once had a cream bleach disaster. I'd put it on my legs and whilst it was developing, my housemate's cat came and rubbed herself ALL OVER my saturated legs! I spent about half an hour chasing her around the house with a damp cloth and a tin of tuna to lure her with… Luckily, the cat was fine, but very grumpy at having been out through such an ordeal :-/
