Hi Tarai <3 i thought i would share this info as i am a qualified Hair & Beauty specialist & this is a service i offer – there could be a number of reasons why this happened – it was left on to long, the lash perm solution was applied to the lash tips it should only be applied to the base & mid-length of your lashes, not the right silicon pad or rod size for your lashes, sleeping on your face the first night as it is recommended to try to avoid sleeping on your face for the first night, you may have to thin of lashes that they curl a lot more then someone with thick lashes. If this does happen to you don't be afraid the tell the technician as this can be fixed If you feel you do not want to go back do some research to find someone that can help you out.
very important to do your research & ask lots of questions if they are a good technician they will be happy to give you all the info you need <3 Also getting a lash lift is very relaxing & it should not hurt at all <3 I hope i have helped to give you all some more info <3

Good info. After lots of research and review watching, I ordered my at home kit from Amazon and the results were great. No complaints. I trust myself far more than someone else especially for something that you can easily and safely learn and do yourself. It's as easy as coloring your own hair at home with minimal to no mess. Can't beat it for $10 that include multiple uses.

Oh my goodness, mine turned out awful! They look terrible. On one side, my lashes are poking into my eyelid and the other side is curled almost backward onto itself. And my eyes are irritated and slightly burn.

I had a lift/perm done 2 months ago – worst thing ever. Like yours they were bent straight up and crooked. I now have patches of no eyelashes at all – I hope they grow back soon. I definitely would ever recommend this to anyone.

I'm a licensed esthetician in the US and perform a lot of lash lifts (I use the Elleebana system). It definitely sounds like the technician used rods that were way too small for your lashes. Also how the lashes are placed on the rods make a huge difference in the results as well. I would definitely research the technician and their before and after portfolio before having an appointment. Your technician should have offered to relax and redo them for you when you contacted her. It's unfortunate that you had that experience!

Same exact thing happened to me. I still have stick straight lashes and super curly stuck ones. I've been wearing false lashes but my new lashes don't seem to curl. Have you had that problem as well? How long did your lashes take to drop the curl?

A cautionary tale indeed! I had this done for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I absolutely HATE it! My eyelashes have done exactly what yours have done. They look awful, as far as I'm concerned. My lashes, like yours, stab my lids, I constantly feel as though I've been crying, I find it difficult to apply mascara without it affecting my eyeshadow and even after nearly two weeks, I can STILL smell the perming solution when when I'm washing my face, or when my eyes get teary. Like you, I don't blame my beauty therapist, she gave me a full lash lift so I'd have the 'full effect'. In hindsight, it might have been prudent to start with a semi-lift. It doesn't matter though… once this grows out, I will never do this again. Ever!

I've had this done twice now and I absolutely love it. I've never had eyelashes that show even when I put mascara on they only look good for a minute then straighten out. With the eyelash lift they curl up and stay there. Mine lasts for a few months. Best thing ever:)

Hello, Thanks for sharing. I am a professional and do this service. The size of rod is determined by the length of lashes. In the event that something like what you experienced happens, you can actually relax the lashes with a quick procedure. So, no need to panic. 🙂

im so sorry you had a bad experience. i loved my lash lift and tint. the girl who did them for me made sure to tell me that after i got them wet to use a clean spooly (i bought disposable ones at the beauty supply store) and brush and separate them as if i was putting mascara on. i didn't use mascara for two months. it was so nice. there was a weird chemical smell when they got wet but nothing too bad.

I got this procedure done last friday. She said i had the longest eyelashes she had ever seen. She even measured them and said i was a natural 12 whatever that means lol. Anyway i wanted dramatic results, she told me to do the largest pad and if i wanted more extreme results we would do the medium next time. But she did say the small was definitely not for girls with natural long lashes because what you explain in the video could happen. Im so glad i listened to her.

Hi, I am thinking about doing eye lash lift because my lashes are straight and I hate it, mascara dosen´t look good on me at all because of the straight lashes. So I think that I am going to try this but I didn´t get it of you recommended thinner bands? and your video is 1 month old, so can you please say if something has changed or if they look different now? It was a really good and informative video:))

A friend of mine wants to do the lash lift because her lashed are straight and she can't get them up with a lash curler. She got hooded eyes and now I'm afraid that it maybe can hurt her eyelids. What do u think?
