French Girl’s Guide to Skincare | Episode No. 4

Close ×

In today’s Beauty Edit segment, I’m talking all about flawless French complexion. It’s no surprise that I’m a self-professed (and slightly obsessed) francophile! As most of you know, I’m a huge advocate for clear skin and it’s something that has always been incredibly important to me. I wanted to marry my love for skincare and that effortless french look – that barely there, perfect skin. It’s so quintessentially french. As a result, I’ve spent the last few months experimenting with a number of French skin and beauty products that I wanted to share with you all. One thing they all have in common? They are rich in texture, active in ingredients that are easy on the skin, and most importantly: effective.

Why would you "cleanse"" and not remove your eye makeup? That's just fake 🙁

Ladies, all "skincare" is is just having a healthy diet, washing your face with mild soap, applying sunscreen daily, reducing stress, and having blessed genes. It's ridiculous to pay more than $30 for a moisturizer that probably costs $3 to make.

I skipped french manufactured skincare/make up since 3 years ago, chanel, loreal, ysl, laroche posay etc…. ( actually I Love cc primer from ysl) but they are too harsh for every skin types… trustme, korean products are better…. safe n more natural… i've tried and tested…try face shop/skin food/ laneige/ amore pasific etc…. french beauty product are too harsh on the skin.full of chemicals..for instance bodyshop ( owned by loreal ) lol..

If you're on a budget Garnier and L'Oréal are great alternatives. They are drugstore French brands and they work amazingly. My favorite are Garnier's moisturizers with SPF, they smell great and are very lightweight.

the secret is that you don't torture your face with all that products, you just need to make some facial scrub once in a while with olive oil and sugar, for skincare you use naturally pressed olive oil, and some sunblock, eventually some rose oil and rose mist, and that's all

I dont think french girls for the most part use Sisley coz its wayyy too expensive and usually they all get their skincare product from the pharmacy.

Honestly Korean skin care seems to be much healthier for your skin especially if you look at the ingredients. Designer skincare is so over priced and doesn't seem to do much for you. I switched over to Korean skin care and it's one of best decisions I've made. Korean skin, now that's what you call flawless complexion
