Diana Ross was trying to have her look timid in this movie.. She sounds like her but acting like her Nooooo way, Billie was tough and didn't take any mess off no one, And she liked women more then she liked men because she was raped when she was little.

Not one "so-called singer", right now can touch these beautiful ballads of True Artists w/class & dignity like Billie Holliday, Diana Ross, Phyllis Hyman, as well as others. Billy Dee still has that debonair flare that emits sexiness just by walking–True Style unsurpassed!!

On this day in 1972 the Billie Holiday bio movie "Lady Sings The Blues" had its world premier…
Diana Ross, who portrayed Billie Holiday, was nominated for an Academy Award for 'Best Actress' {winner Liza Minnelli for 'Cabaret'}…
"Good Morning Heartache" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 on January 13th, 1973; eventually it peaked at #34 and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100…
The song was originally recorded by Billie Holiday in 1946 and appeared on her 1956 album 'Lady Sings The Blues'…
