Hi, so you do not ph balance your skin before applying vitamin c or retin a…I hear so much about acids being ph dependant, what are your thoughts on this please? Also I hear to wait 30mins after cleansing before applying retin a…I noticed you did not do the wait time, is this because your skin is very much used to retin a over the past 28yrs or is it because you use the blender with retin a so then you do not need to wait for your skin to be totally dry before using it? Thanks so much, I'm a newby to retin a so want to know as much info as poss. X

Wow, you look fantastic …I'm a makeup artist/ cosmetologist and also work with clients on skin care…I'm thinking your skin is naturally oily and that's why you have no need for moisturizers …and the exfoliation products are enough with the cream base in the retine… most likely the blender is providing a lite weight moisturizer…so a person such as myself with Dry skin needs to use a heavier oil base moisturizer……… it plumps dry skin up and doesn't make the skin droop at all..Just wanted to mention that for people with dry skin…….

Melissa, I noticed that Obagi has new hydroquinone free formula. I noticed that the clear #3 and the blender #5 (hydroquinone free) has almost the same exact ingredients. The blender has just a couple more things added…..The blender had TEA-salicylat..(I looked up and is a form of Salicylic acid) & it also contained PPG-2 myristyl Ether propinate (which I looked up and its an emollient conditioning or thickening agent.) All the other ingredients seem to be the same. Do you think I could just use the blender morning & night instead of buying the two different bottle? The only real difference seems to be the TEA-salicylat…. & maybe its more emollient. Do you think the clear and the blender are both necessary to purchase? It's expensive and if I could use the #5 morning and night it would save me a lot of money. What do you think????

Hi Melissa, you should try the OST Vitamin C serum. Ascorbic acid is the 2nd ingredient on the list with 20% included in the serum and its only around Β£13! you get the same amount of vitamin c for 100 dollars cheaper. its a korean beauty product, hence why it's so cheap πŸ™‚ I get mine off amazon or wish trend, I highly recommend it! or you can try the drunk elephant vitamin c serum as well

My mom always told me less is more when it comes to skin care, and many women are proving that right. I'm on a regimen that consists of 7 steps and as I get older, I find that I don't like the heavy moisturizers on my face either.

Melissa, I have a quick question: I get Tretinoin .05 from the pharmacy. Can you tell me if you think the Obagi Blender is worth buying to mix with the tretinoin. I do not put anything with it right now and backed off to only using it every few nights. It didn't cause me any problems, and I have used it since November, but I am just still a bit weary of using it, since I have heard a few not so good things about it. Thanks! XOXO

Shiseido makes a great sunscreen that doesn't mess with your make-up. It's light, and not oily. It's the one in a little white bottle. A little goes a long way.
