Disappointing product-placement video. See "The Endless Night.." for a proper noir tribute.

But I want to see the Quentin Tarantino "Inglourious Dior" version … you know, where all the fashionistas get blown to bits in some theater in Europe, after getting scalped.

    Now that's marketing I'd watch.

it's not a movie, it's an ad for a Dior handbag.
…yeah, pretty long for an ad.

Really, as a whole, this didn't come across very well. Poor film overall with some good photography that just seemed poorly sewn together. Nothing to do with film noir other than the colours–it has none that classic feel! Just comes across cheesy in terms of the film-noir-attempt. Other than that just an unusually beautiful male and female lead. Whatever. And a lot of credits…. P.S. Does anyone know if there was a story there?

The visuals are good, the direction is decent…but the story-telling could've been better. It seemed like a series of small tiny moments spliced together…There's something missing, there could've been SO much more potential when it comes to the whimsical-ness of Dior (couture), film noir and this film short….

Chanel's videos are waaaaaaay better! didn't like Dior's. I mean, they're selling clothes and accessories, they should do something beautiful and entertaining. This surely isn't.

Regardless of whether or not peoples liked the film, the Dior Handbag, accessories, shoes and Sunglasses were all classic and beautiful. That bag was designed for Princess Diana and no matter how cliche you think the video is, the bag is going to be around for many decades to come and it is a best seller.Marion is gorgeous, but i have my eyes on the bag and sunglasses 😀

i disagree entirely. Cotillard is one of the very few that radiate this amount of class and sexiness. But if you're talking about a Meghan Fox kind of "presence" then you're right. That seems a bit easier to pull off 😉

I adore Hitchcock & film noir!! I thought this was different and bravo to Dior for doing something new and maybe not so expected and understood by the mainstream. How great is Marion's eye make-up??

Emmm… I think 8 min. movie is tooooo long. Marion is great, but it's not enough for a good commercial.

A bit of a cross between Hitchcock and the fabulous Chanel adverts !! But Chanel got there first with this sort of advert !! Doesn't really get me to rush out and buy anything Dior ,though !!
